In aprox. 2001... when we had it surveyed... DNR lopped off about 3 acres and told us it was marshland. You can see the big wide swathe thru the right side.
That section looks like "upland" , except on a marsh hen tide, water comes up there. I've never seen the tide rise that high, but know it must be true, because flora and fauna indicate that it is different there.
Its a beautiful place. The birds think they own it... Eagles, egrets, wood storks, and ducks... We've even seen a pair of turkeys.
You should get the tour of the adjacent gated private subdivision Misty Harbor and check out the view on the way to and from their marina. Talk about location, location, location! We are not a Misty Harbor Property, but you'll see they haven't put any fences up between us.
